RDC WORKSHOP ON RESEARCH ARTICLE WRITING

Research is a formalized curiosity, It is poking and prying with a purpose. – Zora Neale Hurston

Research and Development Cell of Asian Law College (ALC) organized a One-day workshop on Research Article Training on 12th October 2023 for the B.A. LL.B. and LL.B 2023 Batch. The workshop was conceptualized with the understanding that article writing is an essential part of the student’s developmental journey, and this helped to make the program more effective.

The session commenced with an introduction to the RDC Cell, explaining its operations and objectives to the students. The workshop served as a source of enlightenment, shedding light on the essential aspects of research and methodology. It focused on clarifying both the “what” and “how” of writing articles for national or international conferences, while also emphasizing the significance of the “why” element. In essence, the workshop is a valuable tool for gaining a deeper understanding of the key areas to consider when translating one’s ideas into written form. This workshop was a tool to comprehend targeted key areas to be kept in mind while writing the ideology on paper.

The skills acquired through article writing can extend beyond the classroom and into various aspects of life. Communication, research, and the ability to articulate ideas clearly are valuable in many professional and personal contexts. Encouraging students to engage in such activities not only enriches their academic experience but also prepares them for future challenges and opportunities. It was a constructive and insightful workshop that helped the students see the value of article writing in terms of developing their critical thinking skills and even enhancing their curriculum vitae. This will help students to not only recognize the gaps that still exist and how to fill them but also to create a structure for creating better articles.
