Asian Education Group is a creative enterprise at the Film City of North India in Noida. This group makes media products, provides services and support to professionals; educates and trains aspirants of a career in media industry; and believes in developing the community using the mass communication techniques and tools.
The President of the group, Mr. Sandeep Marwah, is one of the founders of the fastest growing film city of the world at Noida in the National Capital Region. The Film City, planned and promoted by Mr. Sandeep Marwah in 1987, is now a hub of satellite television news channels in India. The first two film production facilities in the Film City – Marwah Films & Video Studio – established by Mr. Marwah, has been a nursery to a number of Indian satellite TV channels including, ATN, Jain TV, Zee TV, NDTV, Sahara TV, India TV and Mahua TV. About 3000 television programmes and feature films for over 70 satellite TV channels have been made at this facility.
Asian Education Group has made a foray into feature film production & short films. Marwah Films & Video Productions has set a world record by producing close to 1600 short films directed by the foreign nationals of Asian, African and European Countries as well as the USA.
On the suggestion of Indian Media and Entertainment Industry, Marwah studios had established the first ever film School Asian Academy of Films and Television (AAFT) in the private sector in 1993. Since then, this film school has become a popular destination for creative geniuses across the world. AAFT has the distinction of having so far trained nationals of 70 countries of the world. Asian Education Group now imparts traditional and new media education at the graduate and post graduate levels in another institution named Asian School of Media Studies. This center of higher education is successfully functioning since 2004.
Set up to churn out quality management executives, “Growth with education” is the motto of Asian Business School. It is now known to be the new age business school of India.
The organization is also setting up a community radio station 107.4 FM. It has ventured into new media in a big way. A social journal www.batchbuzz.com , where news is made, is in full swing.
The MEC Art Gallery, which has one of the finest collections of contemporary art, is the group’s foray into art. It has its center at one of the most popular locations of New Delhi. The two other strongholds of The AEG –International Film & Television Research Center (IFTRC) and International Films & Television Club (IFTC) have been set up to lend support to media professionals in their work as well as to help improve the quality of media products.
