PRE-PLACEMENT TRAINING FOR B.A.LL.B. 2019 AND LL.B. 2021 BATCH

The Centre for Skill Development of Asian Law College, Noida organized a Pre-Placement Training event from 13th- 15th of February 2024. The training targeted students of LL.B. 2021 batch and B.A. LL.B. 2019 batch which focused on resume writing, power dressing, social etiquettes, and interview skills. The event was coordinated and addressed by Dr. Ambri Sharma, Assistant Professor aimed to enhance students’ employability and align their skills with industry demands. The training event was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Ravi Sharma, Dean – Corporate Resource Cell (CRC), Ms. Garima Malhotra Head- Center for Skills Development, and Dr. Ambri Sharma. It featured Dr. Mohd. Khalid, Professor of Law, Dr. Sonali Mishra, Associate Professor (English), Ms. Vaishali Upadhaya, Assistant Professor (English) and Dr. Ambri Sharma, Assistant Professor (English) as resource persons for a three days session.

The first day of the training was dedicated to a resume writing workshop led by Dr. Sonali Mishra. Dr. Mishra emphasized the significance of a well-crafted resume in the job application process, providing students with tips on effectively presenting their skills, experience, and education. She also discussed common mistakes to avoid and essential resume sections like professional summary, educational qualifications, and legal skills. Students had the opportunity to develop their resumes and receive constructive feedback, learning to create an impactful resume.

On the second day, the training of power dressing and social etiquette was conducted, which was led by Ms. Vaishali Upadhaya. She highlighted the importance of appropriate attire in professional settings and its impact on first impressions, confidence, and personal branding. She also provided practical tips on dressing professionally for various occasions and maintaining grooming standards, emphasizing the psychological influence of clothing choices on perceptions and interactions.

The final day featured mock interviews chaired by Dr. Mohd. Khalid, Dr. Sonali, Ms. Vaishali, and Dr. Ambri. The mock interviews were conducted with the purpose of evaluating the participants based on their resumes, personality, and knowledge. This exercise offered students practical experience, feedback, and strategies to excel in real job interviews, helping them overcome stage fear and build confidence. The Pre Placement Training effectively bridged the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, preparing students for successful careers by enhancing their employability skills and confidence in professional settings.
