Asian Law College, Noida, organized a comprehensive Court Visits from 21st – 30th April 2025, for B.A.LL.B. VIII Semester and LL.B. IV Semester students. The visits were conducted in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Gautam Budh Nagar; the initiative was part of the practical training curriculum under “Arbitration, Conciliation, and Alternative Dispute Resolution.” These academic visits aimed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world legal practice by exposing students to the functioning of the judiciary and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. Each day, students visited the District Court of Gautam Budh Nagar, where they observed a range of proceedings, including civil cases, criminal hearings, and sessions at Permanent Lok Adalats. They were accompanied by faculty members Ayushi Gupta, Rupali Gupta, and Gaurika Sharma, Assistant Professors of Law, who provided academic supervision and mentorship throughout the visits. These visits offered valuable exposure to courtroom procedures, legal argumentation, judicial decision-making, and professional ethics. They also observed procedural nuances and the vital role of administrative support within the court infrastructure.Students also had opportunities to interact with judges, lawyers, and court staff, which enhanced their understanding of legal roles and responsibilities. Observing how disputes are resolved both through litigation and alternative mechanisms helped reinforce their academic learning with practical insight.

Following their visits, many students compiled detailed case summaries for classroom discussions, showcasing their active participation and reflection. The documentation process fostered critical thinking and encouraged deeper engagement with the legal issues witnessed. The experience also emphasized the importance of courtroom decorum, preparation, and the collaborative nature of legal practice. The Court Visit received enthusiastic feedback, with students expressing that the real-time exposure significantly deepened their appreciation for the legal system. Initiatives like this reaffirm Asian Law College’s commitment to developing professionally competent and socially responsible legal professionals.
