Asian Law College, Noida made a notable contribution at a significant conclave organized by Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti (GSDS) on February 22, 2025, at Gandhi Darshan, Rajghat, New Delhi, to commemorate the 81st death anniversary of Kasturba Gandhi. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 650 delegates representing 25 institutions across the country. The conclave served as a meaningful platform to reflect on the legacy of Kasturba Gandhi and engage in discussions on values of peace, service, and social responsibility.
The inaugural ceremony was marked by the unveiling of a statue of Kasturba Gandhi by Dr. Jwala Prasad, Director, GSDS, in the esteemed presence of Chief Guest Prof. Manisha Pandey and Dr. Prity Sharma from Asian Law College. Faculty members from Asian Law College, including (Dr.) Ambri Sharma, Associate Professor of English, Ms. Arjita Banerjee, Assistant Professor of English and GSDS Member, and Ms. Rupali Gupta, Assistant Professor of Law and GSDS Member, were also present on the occasion. Dr. Sanjeet Kumar’s presentation on Kasturba Gandhi’s life journey set the tone for the day’s discussions. Asian Law College students distinguished themselves through multiple platforms. Their exhibition stall, widely appreciated by attendees, presented innovative models demonstrating women’s leadership in technology-driven governance and social entrepreneurship. During the Town Hall discussion, Asian Law College representatives offered insightful perspectives on legal frameworks for women’s empowerment, drawing from their academic training. The college’s street play performance, which creatively highlighted gender-inclusive development strategies, emerged as one of the event’s most engaging segments.
The conclave successfully highlighted pathways for young women’s leadership in nation-building.
