The Moot Court Committee of Asian Law College, Noida organized the Judgment Writing Competition for all the Batches of B.A. LL.B. and LL.B. on 18th February 2025. This competition was designed to cultivate critical thinking and legal research skills among students by encouraging them to explore judicial reasoning. Serving as a dynamic platform for aspiring legal professionals.
The Judgment Writing Competition witnessed an overwhelming response from students following the release of the factual proposition on 10th February 2025. Participants were given the opportunity to analyze the case and draft their judgments, with the deadline for written submissions set for 14th February 2025. This ensured ample amount of time for a fair and thorough evaluation process, culminating in the announcement of results on 18th February 2025. The Result Declaration Ceremony began with inspiring addresses by esteemed legal professionals, including Mr. Amit Nagar (Program Chair & Assistant Professor of Law), Mr. Shivam Jaiswal (Convener, B.A. LL.B & LL.B), and Prof. Dr. Mohd Khalid (Professor of Law). The formal announcement of the competition results was made by Ms. Twinkle Hussain, Convener of the Moot Court Committee and Assistant Professor of Law. The team comprising Akshita and Ishita Rastogi of LL.B 2023 was adjudged the winner, while the team of Naitik Bajpai and Varish Kansal of B.A. LL.B. 2024 Batch secured the runners-up position. The winners and runners-up were felicitated with trophies and certificates in recognition of their exceptional performance and legal acumen.
The competition provided participants with an excellent opportunity to sharpen their judgment writing skills and deepen their understanding of judicial reasoning. It served as a platform for students to interpret legal principles, apply relevant laws, and craft well-reasoned judgments based on the given factual propositions. Throughout the competition, students were encouraged to develop structured legal arguments and engage in meaningful legal research. The initiative not only enhanced their analytical and writing abilities but also cultivated a stronger inclination towards the judicial process. The overwhelming participation and enthusiasm displayed by the students made the competition a resounding success.
