The English Language Lab classes were reinstated on 29th January, 2024 for students of the B.A. LL.B. and LL.B. 2023 batch based on the LSRW methodology (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing) by the Center for Skill Development department of Asian Law College. The primary objective of this Lab is to enhance students’ English language proficiency through interactive learning experiences. It serves as an educational platform for structured language learning, emphasizing practical application over theoretical concepts. Equipped with the computers installed with the Digital Teacher software, the lab offers various modules covering grammar basics, listening, speaking, reading, writing, phonetics, vocabulary building, and soft skills/life skills.
The classes at English Language Lab result in notable outcomes in enhancing students’ language proficiency. Through regular assessments, students’ diverse language skills will be evaluated, providing valuable insights into their strengths and areas for improvement. The structured modules covering grammar basics, listening, speaking, reading, writing, phonetics, vocabulary building, and soft skills/life skills will facilitate a comprehensive enhancement of students’ language abilities. Active participation in immersive language exercises will lead to a noticeable improvement in students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills over the course of the sessions. Moreover, the continuous engagement with the language lab will not only improve students’ English language aptitude but will also bolster their confidence in effectively communicating in English. These outcomes will underscore the effectiveness of the English Language Lab in equipping students with the necessary linguistic skills for academic success and professional development.
