Ancient popular tag – KHO KHO – drives a lot of interest at AEG’s 8th Annual Inter-College Sports Meet, ATHLEEMA 2020!

Asian Law College (ALC) – which is a part of Asian Education Group (AEG) and is ranked as one of the top law colleges in Noida offering 5-year BA-LLB & 3-year LLB courses – held its 8th magnificent annual sports meet, ATHLEEMA 2020 from 21st-23rd January 2020 at the well laid out Jasola Sports Complex, New Delhi with great enthusiasm and grandeur, much accentuated by the glorious presence of the Indian football legend, Mr. Baichung Bhutia as the chief guest for the occasion.

A total of 50 top colleges of Delhi NCR participated in this mega inter-college sports meet including the two other constituent group colleges of Asian Education Group, namely Asian Business School (ABS) & Asian School of Business (ASB).

Of the several games in which competition was held, one was the exciting game of Kho-Kho that drove a lot of interest at AEG’s 8th Annual Inter-College Sports Festival, ATHLEEMA 2020!

As a sports event, Kho Kho is a popular tag and an ancient game that was invented in Maharashtra, India. This exciting game is played by teams of 12 nominated players out of fifteen, of which nine enter the field who sit on their knees (chasing team), and 3 extra (defending team) who try to avoid being touched by members of the opposing team.

At ATHLEEMA 2020-Season 8, the game was played in both boys & girls categories and it generated a lot of interest among participants as well as spectators.

The final match of Kho-Kho (Boys) was played between Satyawati College and GNIOT wherein Satyawati College team emerged the winner.

The final match of Kho-Kho (Girls) was played between Mata Sundari College and Bhagini Nivedita wherein Mata Sundari College team was declared the winner.
