International Conference: Recent Trends & Advancements in Corporate Law and Governance

The International Conference on “Recent Trends and Advancements in Corporate Law and Governance” was conducted by the Research & Development Cell of Asian Law College (ALC), Noida on 12th April, 2024. The objective of this conference is to provide a platform for the initiation of a novel discourse on the pressing issues in the interminably expanding field of corporate laws practice in India and on global platforms, and present innovative solutions to the issues faced by all the stakeholders.
The conference commenced with an inaugural session featuring distinguished speakers, including Mr. Satyajit Gupta, Vice President & Head of India Legal & CSR EXL, Mr. Dipti Lavya Swain, Founder and Managing Partner at DLS Law Offices, and Advocate Manisha Chaudhary, Managing Partner at UKCA and Partners LLP with Mr. Ashish Bhardawaj, Assistant Dean of Asian Law College. Their insights provided valuable perspectives on the conference’s objectives and shared experiences that inspired the attending students. Following the inaugural session, 16 technical session chairs presided over the presentations delivered by both internal and external participants, conducted both offline and online.

At the valedictory ceremony, the conference reached its culmination as Mr. Ashish Bhardawaj, Assistant Dean of Asian Law College, along with Mr. Amit Nagar, Program Chair for LL.B., and Ms. Divyasha Dubey, Program Chair for B.A. LL.B., awarded the winners with cash prizes and certificates. Shyana Das Patnayak, a student from Xavier School of Law, XIM University, bagged the title of Best Paper, receiving a cash prize of Rs. 5000/-. Tripti Mishra and Rishi Kumar Bharti, both from Asian Law College, secured the 2nd Best Paper title, earning a cash prize of Rs. 3000/-. Pooja Bera, also from Asian Law College, was honored with the 3rd Best Paper title and received a cash prize of Rs. 2000/-.

The conference successfully achieved its primary goal of enhancing students’ research capabilities and instilling in them the importance of writing legal research papers effectively. The conference contributed thought-provoking exploration of recent trends and advancements in corporate laws in our diverse sectors of governance and aims to bring law students, scholars, academicians, law experts, and policymakers from International level around the world to explore and discuss various aspects of corporate law. This conference served as an enriching experience for participants, offering them an opportunity to engage with pertinent legal issues and sharpen their academic skills. Encouraging such initiatives in the future will further nurture the next generation of legal scholars and professionals, ensuring their continued growth and contribution to the field.
