Asian Law College had rare honour of hosting India’s former President Hon’ble Shri Pranab Mukherjee, on 28th August 2018 for having an interactive session with the LL.B. and B.A.LL.B. students to guide them to be the torch bearers for future.
The program started with the national anthem followed by traditional lamp lighting to get blessings from Goddess Saraswati on the auspicious day with our Former President gracing the event. A small documentary on Shri Pranab Mukherjee’s life achievements was shown to the audience which was later succeeded by a Bengali song performance from ALC students. As a token of appreciation, ALC presented the Former President with a portrait and bouquet of flowers.
Director Asian Education Group, Dr. Lalitya Vir Srivastava inaugurated the programme and said “I am extremely proud to be in the audience of the Former President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee and all the students of Asian Law College should take him as an inspiration and achieve great height of success.”
President of Asian Education Group, Professor Dr. Sandeep Marwah escorted Shri Pranab Mukherjee on the dais to address the students. To begin with his address, Shri. Pranab Mukherjee congratulated Asian Law College: part of Asian Education Group, for successfully completing 25 years of providing quality education for the youth of India. Former President alluded on anecdotes of his life and got into the conclusion that respecting one’s guru will lead any individual to achieve their dreams. During his address, Shri. Pranab Mukherjee also emphasized that it is the student community which acts as the torch bearers of the society and can bring about a positive change by pursuing excellent higher education, so that we can have a better and vibrant India. He highlighted the importance of research and development in the growth of any country and as per him; it is the student community which has to take a lead in this regard.
Professor Sandeep Marwah, President Asian Education Group, while addressing the students, emphasized upon having a positive attitude, self-belief and conviction with an aim to work for the development of the society with enthusiasm, and focus on their goals so as to make India a force to reckon with in the time to come.
The event concluded with vote of thanks from Mr. Saurabh Sharma, Director Branding and Planning – Asian Education Group, who thanked Shri. Pranab Mukherjee for taking time out of his busy schedule to have a much awaited interactive session with the students of Asian Education Group.
This was certainly a great experience for students of Asian Law College to listen to the person who held the highest office of the nation. And we sincerely hope that our college will forever be blessed by his guidance and shared moments together on this auspicious day.
