ATHLEEMA 2024

Asian Law College (ALC), part of the Asian Education Group (AEG), organized the 11th Season of its Annual Sports Meet, Athleema 2024, from February 28th to March 2nd, 2024. This significant event provided students with a great opportunity to showcase their athletic talents and engage in healthy competition. Athleema 2024 served as a unique platform, attracting participants from various colleges across India, making it a mega sporting extravaganza. The 11th season was held at the Netaji Subhash Sports Complex in Jasola, New Delhi, where over 70 colleges from Delhi/NCR and more than 4500 participants engaged in 13 different sports/games, competing for trophies, medals, and prizes. The energetic and spirited atmosphere during the four-day event underscored the enthusiasm and camaraderie among the participants.

Asian Law College students demonstrated their competitive edge by successfully competing with counterparts from some of the best colleges and universities across India. The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Rannvijay Singha, a well-known Indian actor, entrepreneur, television personality, host, and VJ, who provided motivation to all participants. The ceremony also saw the esteemed presence of Prof. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Asian Education Group, Dr. Lalitya Vir Srivastava, Director of Asian Education Group, Mr. Saurabh Sharma, Director of Asian Education Group, and Mr. Gurdeep Singh Raina, Director of Asian Education Group. The esteemed guests addressed the participants and emphasized the vision behind Athleema, highlighting its 11-year legacy of integrating sports with academic curriculum at ALC.

The valedictory ceremony on the fourth day served as the apex of the event, marking its culmination. In the esteemed presence of guests, the participants of the Sports Meet, including both winners and runners-up, were honored with cash prizes, trophies, medals, and certificates. Asian Law College’s role in contributing effectively to this endeavor underscores its position as a prime institution of law that not only prioritizes academic excellence but also actively promotes a culture of sports, aligning with the broader goal of creating a healthier and more prosperous nation. The institution’s commitment aligns with the vision of India’s Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, to promote awareness about sports and fitness, acknowledging the proven benefits of a healthier and more prosperous society when sports are encouraged and embraced.
