Asian Law College hosts Dr. Joshua Lincoln for an expert talk on Peace and Security Issue.

Asian Law College (ALC) hosts Dr. Joshua Lincoln, School of Law, Tufts University, U.S.A, Former Senior officer in Executive office of Secretary General Ban Ki Moon in New York (2007-2011) for an expert talk on Peace and Security Issue.

An enlightening and expert session was organized in the campus of ALC for the students of BA LLB and LLB on Peace and Security issue. It was an earnest attempt by ALC to give practical exposure to the concepts of International law by none other than Dr. Joshua Lincoln. Dr Joshua has 25 years of experience across four continents in leadership roles in the United Nation, Non -Government organization, academia and Civil Society. Dr. Joshua has played a very vital role and has worked extensively on global peace and security issues at the United Nations including posting as Directeur de Cabinet to the Director General of UNOG/ Secretary General of the conference on Disarmament (2012 – 2013 )  and as a senior officer in the Executive officer of Secretary general Ban ki moon in New York ( 2007- 2011)

The expert talk revolved around the role of U.N., Importance of U.N., various role and responsibility of U.N.. The speaker highlighted the concepts of International law with examples and illustrations from his own regime and experience which helped the students to get a wide perspective on international law and its application. The expert lecture explained and brought to center stage the importance and scope of international law.  The guest opened the forum for Q& A towards the end where the students clarified their doubts and in-depth clarity was given by the speaker on student queries. The thought provoking guest lecture was concluded  with proper felicitation of our esteemed speaker by Prof Dr. Saleem Akhtar, Director Academic Advisory ALC and Prof Dr. Tarak Nath Prasad, Principal ALC.
