In the competitive world of modern times, it is imperative to have a thorough knowledge about their respective professions to excel in their career. Keeping this point in view, we at Asian Law College (ALC) go all out to provide a perfect hands-on learning experience for our students and, therefore, schedule a number of legal & corporate visits for our students which eventually help then in both their personal as well as professional development.
In line with the above stated vision the students pursuing 5-year BA-LLB & 3-year LLB courses at Asian Law College (ALC) had the privilege of visiting one of the most prestigious law university in India – viz. National Law University (NLU), Delhi – for a Special Session on ‘The Kashmir Dialogues’ on Tuesday, 26th March 2019 from 2:30 PM – 5:00 PM. The Session was held in the Moot Court Hall of NLU Delhi and was chaired by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Kurian Joseph, former Judge, Supreme Court of India.
Dr. Aman Hingorani, Advocate, Supreme Court of India introduced his book ‘Unravelling the Kashmir Knot’, which was followed by a panel discussion.
Professor Ranbir Singh (Vice Chancellor, NLU Delhi), Brigadier Narender Kumar (Distinguished Fellow, Centre for Strategic Studies & Simulation, United Service Institution of India), Ms. Shivani Wazir Pasrich (Celebrity Anchor, Actor, Director, Founder of Commonwealth Cultural Forum), and Dr. Mohsin Alam Bhat (Assistant Professor, Jindal Global Law School) deliberated in the session.
The session proved to be a very edifying one for the ALC LLB and BALLB students in terms of intellectual growth and the opportunity to hear various renowned legal professional under one roof. The students of ALC were praised and encouraged by Justice Kurian Joseph, former Judge supreme court to research on the Kashmir Issue and submit an amicable solution to the Government of India for consideration.
