A team from Asian Law College has participated in the 4th National Moot Court Competition 2023 organized by the Career Point University, Himachal Pradesh on 21st – 22nd April 2023. The team has achieved the Winners position competing with the top notch institutions across the country like Symbiosis Pune, MVN University, Manav Rachna University, Christ University, Delhi NCR, Career Point University, Himachal Pradesh University, Uttaranchal University, UPES Dehradun, Himachal Pradesh National Law University, etc. The winning team members are the students of BALLB 2021 batch namely, Deepali Kushwaha (Speaker 1), Anurag Sourot (Speaker 2) and Sneha Singh (Researcher). It was a great learning experience for the team members to compete with the teams from various reputed institutions wherein the team gave best of their efforts and brought home the award of ‘Winners’ of the competition. The memorials drafted by the team have been kept by the respected Additional Advocate General of Himachal Pradesh for his kind perusal, expressing contentment and feeling overwhelmed by the performance of the team and their memorials. Fortunately, the team has also been offered an internship opportunity by the respected Additional Advocate General of Himachal Pradesh with him in the High Court of Himachal Pradesh. The team was also offered a stay in a government guest house as well by the respected Additional Advocate General of Himachal Pradesh after the competition was successfully concluded. The team is ecstatic to receive such recognition and opportunity offered by the respected Additional Advocate General of Himachal Pradesh and the same is the matter of honor for the Asian Law College too. It is great to see the students’ enthusiasm towards mooting and competing for the same passionately. Being the fourth semester students, it is highly appreciable to witness their level of energy, potential, the mooting skills and their achievements. It is pertinent to mention that the team has also been the Winner of the Novice Moot Court Competition 2022, the competition which is conducted internally every year for the training and participation of the Asian Law College students and further to give then an exposure of Moot Court Competitions on campus to prepare them for the external competitions. Students’ participation in such competitions contributes in their holistic development which is required to face the external world in the real courtrooms. Asian Law College aims to provide the continued support and platform to the students for their unbounded participation and learnings.
