CBSE class 12th result declared; Here’s how to use DigiLocker to download mark sheet, other documents

The wait of over 12 lakh students is finally over as CBSE announced the class 12 results on the Board’s official portal on , Monday, 13th July 2020. The Central Board of Secondary Education has made the CBSE class 12 result 2020 available on its official website —  cbseresults.nic.in.

Like previous years, the Board has declared the class 12 results for Arts, Commerce and Science streams on the same day. Students can check their CBSE class 12 results from the official website of the Board “http://cbse.nic.in/

Upon declaration of results, CBSE issues mark sheet and pass certificate to Class 10 and Class 12 students every year. But, with the ongoing Corona pandemic, the fear of contracting the virus has made students apprehensive about going out to collect their certificates. But there is no need to worry for children.

DigiLocker – the online service provided by Ministry of Electronics and IT, Government of India under its Digital India initiative – can provide all the CBSE documents like Mark Sheet, Migration Certificates, Passing Certificate to students. And also, these documents downloaded from DigiLocker are acceptable as original for undergraduate admissions.

Steps to register and download documents using DigiLocker:

Ø  Candidates would require either a phone number or their Aadhaar number to register on DigiLocker and access their documents.

Ø  CBSE documents like Marksheets, Migration Certificate & Pass Certificate from 2016 onwards are available on DigiLocker.

Ø  CBSE would send the account credentials to students via SMS on the registered mobile numbers. Alternately, students can access DigiLocker on digilocker.gov.in or through UMANG app. Students may use their CBSE Roll Number and their Aadhaar and phone number to register on the DigiLocker.

Ø  Having once registered, students would be able to check their marksheets, migration certificate & pass certificate.

In addition to CBSE, CISCE documents are also released on DigiLocker for ICSE and ISC Results. The mark sheets are supposed to be would be made available almost immediately for the students after the declaration of the results.

CBSE had to cancel the Class 10, 12 Board exams 2020 scheduled from 1st July to 15th July 2020 after the  genuine concern raised  by the parents on account of ever increasing cases of COVID 19. The board has now assessed the students based on scores of the previous three examinations and declared the class 10, 12 results accordingly.
