Students from Delhi NCR-based Asian Law College (ALC) – which is a part of Asian Education Group (AEG) and is ranked as one of the top law colleges in Noida – actively participated in the National Trial Advocacy Moot Competition that was held from 8th to 10th of February 2020 at Maharaj Vinayak Global University, Jaipur and they, importantly, won the “2nd Runners Up” position!
A total of 26 teams from different law colleges in India including 2 National Law Universities (NLUs), Punjab University, Aligarh Muslim University, Delhi University, Anna University-Tamil Nadu, Nagpur University, Christ University, Symbiosis and many other colleges participated at this prestigious national level event.
After clearing the prelims 1 & 2, ALC students secured a place in the top 8 teams and qualified for quarter-finals. In the quarter-finals, ALC students had the competition against IP University and they qualified for semi-finals. In the semi-finals, ALC had a competition with Ramaiyah Institute of Law, Bangalore but they disqualified to finals just by 2 marks!
Notwithstanding the fact that ALC did not make it to the finals, yet the students were able to get the covetous award of “Best Mooter/Advocate” in the competition!
Thus, the overall experience of ALC law students was very good and encouraging and marked a moment of pride for their august institute.
