Workshop on How to Effectively use Supreme Courts Cases (SCC) Search Engine

Asian Law College organized a workshop on “HOW TO EFFECTIVELY USE SUPREME COURTS CASES (SCC) SEARCH ENGINE” on 28-04-2020. SCC Search is one of the quicker, easier and effective way to legal research which provides the authentic and reliable content from India’s leading law publisher with cutting-edge technology to create a powerful legal research resource. The workshop was of one hour and was focused on how to use SCC, search for case laws, Articles, Case Notes etc. which will help all the law students in preparing their memorials when they will take part in a moot court competitions or trial advocacy competitions or client counselling competitions. Further, it will help the students to prepare the Project file of subjects like Professional Ethics, Arbitration and Conciliation and Moot Court.

The workshop was organized for all the batches of law. The workshop was taken by Mr. Chetan Singh Gill and Mr. Mohit, the SCC Officials who trained the law students on how to use the SCC platform effectively. They explained the law students about the layout of SCC search engine, how to use the given search options to search for a case law with the available information like case name, party name, citation, etc. and also to search and take reference of the sample memorials for the moot court competitions and many more things about the SCC search.

The SCC trainers shared their pool of knowledge and it was really an informative session with them. The students of all the law batches were curious to know about the SCC search engine and all their concerned doubts and questions were directly answered by the SCC official team only. The students showed great enthusiasm to learn how to operate the search engine for their legal research. The workshop has been a great step towards bringing students more close to research and to make them understand how to operate the SCC search engine for their future competitions.
