Day 2: Orientation Program-2025

The second day of the Orientation Program began with an engaging brain game and Chinese whisper activity organized by the CSD. This was followed by a panel discussion on the topic “The Future of Legal Practice in India: Innovation, AI and Beyond.” The esteemed panel comprised Dr. Abhimanyu Chopra (Partner, AZB & Partners), Ms. Niti Paul (Partner, Luthra and Luthra Law Offices), and distinguished associates from Vidhiśāstras, Advocates & Solicitors: Ms. Pragati Srivastava (Senior Associate) and Ms. Apali Kaushal (Principal Associate). The session was moderated by Mr. Ashish Bhardawaj, Associate Dean, ALC, and Ms. Harsha Sharma, Assistant Professor of Law, ALC. The panel addressed the central question of whether AI is a boon or bane for legal practice, examining tools such as smart contract analysis and due diligence reports. In the presence of the dignitaries, the poster for the upcoming International Moot Court Competition 2025, organized by the Moot Court Committee at ALC in collaboration with Vidhiśāstras, Advocates & Solicitors was released.

The second session of the day featured the Social Change Maker Championship 2025. The competition was graced by the Chief Guest and Judge, Ms. Alina Alam, Founder and CEO of Mitti Café, whose contribution in raising awareness about equal employment opportunities for the specially-abled class and inclusion in the workforce was acknowledged as highly significant for society. From around 200 entries, only four outstanding presentations were shortlisted on diverse social issues. The four finalists were Ms. Shradha Pawaskar, Mr. Vishwaraj Nath Singh, Ms. Vridhi Gupta, and Ms. S. S. Sakshi. The prestigious title of Social Change Maker Championship 2025 was conferred upon Ms. S. S. Sakshi of the LL.B. 2025 batch. She was awarded a trophy, an Apple iPad, and direct entry to the Finale of the Flagship Event Social Change-Maker Champion of the Year 2027.
