ALC Orientation Programme 2022 – The Entrepreneurial Edge in Legal Domain

Asian Law College under the aegis of the Asian Education Group is organizing the orientation program for the batch of 2022 of B.A. LL.B. and LL.B. courses from 24th August 2022 to 1st September 2022. The purpose of this orientation program is for familiarizing the students with the college environment and helps them start their journey of learning and growth.

The 25th of August, 2022 witnessed the second day of the orientation program where two important personalities of legal domain were invited as guests of honor for the plenary session on “Entrepreneurial Edge in Legal Domain”. The session was graced by the presence of Ms. Aparajita Amar, Co-Founder, SHLC- Sexual Harassment Law Compliance Advisory and Ms. Shreya Sharma, CEO & Founder, Rest The Case. The session started with a warm welcome of the esteemed guests and Mr. Ashish Bhardwaj, Respected Head of Asian Law College on the dais and the session moved forward with a brief introduction of the speakers of the session. The discussion was led by the Head of Asian Law College where he asked many relevant questions to the guest which must be under the subconsciousness of the students and helped them clarify their doubts which they may come across in the coming years of their legal education.

In order of progression of the session, Ms. Amar and Ms. Sharma were asked to share their views on legal education and its importance to get professional expertise in the legal domain, especially its entrepreneurial aspects, where they shared their journey of legal education and achieving great heights as an entrepreneur. They focussed on techno-legal aspects of the legal profession and explained that if the student is completely dedicated to their studies and grasping every opportunity that comes their way in order to become a legal professional, nothing can stop them from getting an edge in their professional career.

The speakers unequivocally agreed on the importance of the internships which can immensely help the students get the first hand practical experience in Courts and the Law Firms. Internships not only give an opportunity to students to polish their legal acumen but also open a plethora of opportunities in the outside world even before completing their courses. With various valuable advice and experiences being shared by the esteemed guests for the benefit of the students the session proceeded towards its end where the guests were felicitated by Dr. Prity Sharma, Program Convener of B.A.LL.B. with memento as a token of remembrance.
