Grand Finale of the Social Change-Maker Champion of the Year 2025–26

The Grand Finale of the flagship event of Asian Law College, “The Social Change-Maker Champion of the Year 2025–26” was successfully conducted on 8th April 2026 by the Legal Aid Centre established in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Gautam Buddha Nagar, and Pro Bono Club established under the Nyaya Bandhu Scheme, an initiative by the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law & Justice at Asian Law College.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Harteerath Singh Ahluwalia, Director, Hemkund Foundation, as the Chief Guest, a distinguished social leader and recipient of numerous prestigious accolades, including Grazia’s Social Impact of the Year in 2022, Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2022, HT City 30 Under 30 in  2021, MensXP’s High Impact Men in 2021, and recognition among the Top 50 Social Entrepreneurs in India by the World Economic Forum in 2021.The event was further graced by distinguished Guests of Honour from the social change making community, welcomed by ALC, including Mr. Deepak Sharma, Trustee and Fund raiser, Udayan Care; Mr. Md. Nawaid Naseem, Centre Manager, Tata STRIVE; Ms. Inderjeet Kaur, Founder, Kalyan Trust; Ms. Ghazal Khan, CEO, Divyang Cricket Control Board of India (DCCBI) and the International Council of Wheelchair Cricket (ICWC); Mr. Laxman Prasad Kushwaha, Treasurer, Apnelog NGO; and Mr. Subhrajeet Gautam, Founder, Umeed Foundation. The presence of the visionaries of Asian Education Group (AEG), Dr. Lalitya Vir Srivastava, Director – AEG; Dr. Saurabh Sharma, Director – AEG; Dr. Gurdeep Raina, Director – AEG; and Mr. Ashish Bhardwaj, Associate Dean, ALC, further added significance to the event.

The programme commenced with presentations by the 7 finalists, each eloquently articulating their ideas and meaningful contributions toward driving social change. The themes presented were: Achal Sharma (LL.B. 2024–27 Batch) on ‘Empowering Future Generations through Education and Awareness’; Vidisha Bhattacharya (B.A. LL.B. 2024–29 Batch) on ‘Financial Abuse as an Aspect of Domestic Violence against Women’; Priyanshu Negi (LL.B. 2024–27) on ‘Sustainable Use of Cigarette Butts towards Environmental Sustainability’; S.S. Sakshi (LL.B. 2025–28 Batch) on ‘Green Living Roots, exploring Afforestation and Sustainable Water Management’; Aman Chaudhary (LL.B. 2025–28 Batch) on ‘Education without Barriers for the Underprivileged’; Harsha (B.A. LL.B. 2022–27 Batch) on ‘Cyber Crime Awareness to Reduce Cyber Attacks on the Common Man’; and Shubham Puri (LL.B. 2025–28 Batch) on ‘Neglected Fraternity, addressing the marginalised sections of society’. The presentations reflected originality, clarity, and a strong commitment to tackling pressing social challenges.

After a comprehensive evaluation, Aman Chaudhary from the LL.B. 2025–28 batch bagged the title of “Social Change Maker Champion of the Year 2025–26,” winning a shining Shield and a Social Grant of Rs 1 LAC along with digital and web presence. The event concluded successfully, reinforcing the importance of youth-led social responsibility and inspiring law students to emerge as catalysts of social change.
