27th March 2026 to 30th March 2026 marked a momentous chapter in the sporting legacy of Asian Law College, part of the Asian Education Group, as the institution proudly hosted Athleema 2026- the 13th Annual Inter-College Sports Meet held at the Netaji Subhash Sports Complex, Jasola, New Delhi, the event brought together the energy, ambition and competitive spirit of student from across India, creating an atmosphere charged with enthusiasm and the pride of national participation.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by the eminent presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Karan Kundrra, the Reality Show Superstar with his fame in Bigg Boss, MTV Roadies, MTV Love School, Dance Deewane Juniors, Temptation Island India & Splitsvilla 16. His presence elevated the occasion and inspired the large gathering of student athletes and participants assembled to witness the commencement of the meet.
The event featured an inspiring address by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President, Asian Education Group, whose motivational words greatly energised the audience and reinforced the institution’s enduring belief in the power of sport as a vehicle for character formation, discipline and national pride. He was joined by the three pillars of Asian Education Group, Dr. Lalitya Vir Srivastava, Dr. Saurabh Sharma, and Dr. Gurdeep Singh Raina, Directors- Asian Education Group who addressed the gathering in turn, further inspiring the audience and boosting the morale of all participants with their words of encouragement, wisdom and institutional pride.
Athleema 2026 witnessed participation from 85+ colleges and universities across India, with overall participation of over 2,000+ athletes, with 5,000 + attendees including students, sports enthusiasts, faculty members, and supporters reflecting its wide national reach and the extraordinary strength of student involvement. The scale of participation underscored the meet’s growing stature as one of the foremost inter-college sporting events in the country, drawing competitors and enthusiasts alike to the capital for three exhilarating days of competition.
The Competition included variety of sports activities including but not limited to Cricket, Football, Kabaddi, Basketball, Volleyball, Arm-Wrestling, Pool, Tug of War, Carrom, Table Tennis, Chin-Up, Badminton, etc., Each sport was contested with remarkable energy and competitive spirit, reflecting the breadth of athletic talent among the participating institutions.
Athleema 2026 promoted sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and the holistic development of students through a diverse range of competitive sports activities. The meet encouraged both physical fitness and team spirit, providing a platform for student athletes to test their abilities against peers from premier institutions across the nation, while fostering the bonds of friendship and mutual respect that define true sportsmanship.
