Asian Law College (ALC), part of Asian Education Group (AEG) hosted the 12th Season of its Annual Sports Meet Athleema 2025 from Thursday 27th February 2025 to Saturday 01st March 2025. The eminent guests for the inauguration ceremony on 27th February who graced the ALC sports event was ISHANT SHARMA- The fast bowler of the Indian Cricket team. The inaugural ceremony witnessed the presence of Asian Education Group’s leadership and Asian Law College’s academic team, which included Dr. Lalitya Vir Srivastava, Director-Asian Education Group (AEG); Dr. Saurabh Sharma, Director-Asian Education Group (AEG); Dr. Gurdeep Singh Raina Director-Asian Education Group (AEG). Following the inauguration, a special segment featuring fun activities and Zumba was organized, delighting all participants.
The 12th Season of Athleema witnessed participation from approximately 70 colleges, with 3,000 athletes competing across various sports for trophies, medals, and prizes. Hosted by ALC at Netaji Subhash Sports Complex, Jasola, New Delhi, the event featured a dynamic mix of indoor and outdoor games, including Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Kabaddi, Badminton, Kho Kho, Carrom, Athletics, Tug of War, Pool, Chess, and Table Tennis. Both internal and external students took part in these competitions, while internal students also engaged in fun activities such as Arm Wrestling, Chin-Ups, Push-Ups, and Skipping.
The first day of the event saw teams and individual participants competing in knockout rounds and quarterfinals. On the second day, February 28th, various teams played in the semifinals and finals. The event concluded on the third day with a grand valedictory ceremony, which was graced by Shri Praveen Kumar Singh, ACP, Police Commissionerate, Gautam Budh Nagar, Directors of the institution, Deans and the faculty members. The winning teams were honored with awards and prizes, marking a successful and memorable season of Athleema.
The Annual Sports meet gave an excellent opportunity to the students to focus on Sports of their interest and it provided a unique platform for a healthy competition as students from all across India participated in this mega Sports event. A premier institution for legal education, is proactively supporting the initiative championed by the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, to promote awareness about sports and fitness. The vision with which the College has been conducting The Annual Sports Meet- Athleema since last 12 years keeping the philosophy of balancing the Education and sports curriculum, leading to the overall development of students. By doing so, ALC demonstrates its commitment to fostering a culture of wellness and holistic development among its students and the broader community.
