Dance is the joy of the movement and heart of life.
On September 30, 2024 the Cultural Club of Asian Law College organized Tappy Toez, a Solo Dance Competition. It aimed at celebrating and enhancing the rich tapestry of Indian culture. The competition provided a vibrant platform for students from the B.A.LL.B and LL.B. programs to showcase their diverse talents. The primary objective of organizing this dance competition was to foster a spirit of cultural unity, diversity and to promote students’ artistic expressions. By offering this platform, the Cultural Club aimed to uncover and nurture the hidden talents within the college, while also encouraging participants to develop their leadership and organizational skills.
The competition commenced with a warm welcome from Mr. Ashish Bhardwaj, Assistant Dean of Asian Law College addressing the students with the importance of enriching the law school experience beyond the classroom. The event was graced by the three esteemed judges Mr. Sumit Rastogi – Head Examinations AEG, Ms. Harsh Mahajan Assistant Professor Asian School of Business, Ms. Navdeep Kaur Assistant Professor of Law & Convener Examinations AEG along with the faculty members and the students. The students of the B.A.LL.B 2021 Batch Rishi Shukla and Vaishnavi Upadhya hosted the competition with much enthusiasm. The competition featured an array of performances across various themes, including classical, freestyle, and semi-classical dance forms, reflecting the students’ creativity and India’s diverse cultural heritage. The students participated in the cultural event with full enthusiasm and engagement. The audience present in the auditorium was captivated by the performances, which contributed to a lively and encouraging atmosphere.
The competition concluded with an interactive session between the judges and students, during which the judges complimented the participants for their outstanding individual performances. Yashaswi Tiwari, from the B.A.LL.B 2021 Batch, emerged as the winner of the competition, while Shayantika Dey from the LL.B. 2024 Batch secured the runner-up position. Tappy Toez successfully achieved its goals of fostering a spirit of cultural unity and diversity, leaving participants and viewers alike with a memorable experience that celebrated the spirit of dance and cultural expression at Asian Law College.
