LEGAL LECTURE SERIES: INSOLVENCY REGIME IN INDIA BY MS. ANUJA PETHIA

Asian Law College, Noida organized the Legal Lecture Series, Season 8 on April 9th, 2024 for the students of B.A. LL.B. and LL.B. courses on the Insolvency Regime in India, featuring Ms. Anuja Pethia, the standing counsel of the Income Tax Department, AOR, Supreme Court of India as a keynote speaker. The lecture aimed to delve into the intricacies of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) introduced in 2016, which has revolutionized the approach to resolving distressed organizations in India. The session provided a historical backdrop and highlighted recent amendments to the insolvency regime, emphasizing its role in fostering entrepreneurship, facilitating loan availability, and bolstering economic growth.

The session commenced with a warm welcome from Mr. Ashish Bhardawaj, Assistant Dean of ALC, extending gratitude to the esteemed speaker, Ms. Anuja Pethia.
