Research and Development Cell

The Research and Development Cell (RDC) of Asian Law College (ALC) is established as a dedicated body to promote a robust research culture among faculty members and students. It serves as a central platform to encourage academic inquiry, innovation, and interdisciplinary research in the field of law and allied disciplines.The RDC facilitates research activities by providing guidance, resources, and opportunities for publication, collaboration, and participation in conferences, seminars, and workshops. It also aims to align institutional research with national and global academic standards, thereby contributing to knowledge creation and policy development.

Objectives

The objectives of the Research and Development Cell are aligned with NAAC quality indicators and include:

To promote quality research publications in Scopus, and other indexed journals.
To encourage faculty members to undertake Minor and Major Research Projects funded by government and non-government agencies.
To foster interdisciplinary and collaborative research at national and international levels.
To organize workshops, seminars, conferences, and Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) on research methodology, IPR, and emerging areas of law.
To establish a mechanism for plagiarism check and ensure research ethics and integrity.
To facilitate filing of patents, copyrights, and other Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
To create and maintain a comprehensive database of publications, citations, h-index, and other research metrics.
To mentor students in research activities, including dissertation writing, moot courts, and publications.
