Novice Moot Court Competition 2022
The Moot Court Committee of Asian Law College organised the Second Edition of the Novice Moot Court Competition in 2022. Building on the success of the inaugural edition held the previous year, this competition was specifically designed for first-year law students, offering them a structured and supportive platform to take their first steps into the world of advocacy.
The Second Edition of the Novice Moot Court Competition aimed to provide first-year students with a hands-on introduction to moot court practice, build confidence in oral argumentation and legal research at an early stage of legal education, encourage participation from both the B.A. LL.B. 2021 and LL.B. 2021 batches, and serve as a preparatory and qualifying ground for advanced inter-college competitions.
The event provided an invaluable preliminary experience, equipping participants with foundational courtroom skills and an understanding of the formal mooting process — acting as a critical stepping stone towards participation in external, open-tier competitions.
