August 31st, 2024 marked a significant and historic day in the annals of Asian Law College, part of Asian Education Group (AEG), as the institution proudly celebrated its 13th Convocation Ceremony at the Campus of Asian Education Group, Noida. The occasion was rendered extraordinarily special by the distinguished presence of Hon'ble Shri Ram Nath Kovind, 14th President of India, who graced the event as the Chief Guest. In a moment that etched itself into the memory of all present, the Hon'ble Chief Guest unfurled the national flag, sending waves of patriotism sweeping through the crowd — a gesture that elevated the ceremony beyond an academic milestone into a celebration of national pride. The formal proceedings commenced with a solemn student procession, followed by the academic procession attended by a distinguished gathering of dignitaries.
The ceremony was graced by an impressive assembly of luminaries, including Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President, AEG; Mr. Akshay Marwah, CEO, AEG; Dr. Lalitya Vir Srivastava, Director, AEG; Dr. Saurabh Sharma, Director, AEG; and Dr. Gurdeep Singh Raina, Director, AEG. The international dimension of the event was enriched by the presence of His Excellency Dr. Ali Achoui, Ambassador of Algeria to India; Jacqueline Mukangira, High Commissioner of Rwanda to India; Mustapha Jawara, High Commissioner of The Gambia to India; Mr. Lazar Vukadinovic, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Serbia; Capaya Rodriguez Gonzalez, Ambassador of Venezuela; and Commander K.L. Ganju, Consul General of the Republic of Union of Comoros. They were joined on the dais by the Deans, Heads of Departments, and distinguished faculty members of the institution.
All dignitaries, adorned in gleaming caps and gowns, graced the dais with their presence, lending the occasion an air of scholarly grandeur. After the formal initiation of the ceremony — marked by the customary invocation song and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp — the programme coordinator extended a warm and heartfelt welcome to all dignitaries, invitees, faculty members, parents, and graduands. Each distinguished guest was felicitated with mementos and bouquets as a sincere expression of gratitude. Mr. Akshay Marwah, CEO, AEG, formally announced the grand opening of the convocation. The proceedings were set in motion with a captivating address by Dr. Saurabh Sharma, Director, AEG, followed by Dr. Gurdeep Singh Raina, Director, AEG and finally the presentation of the Academic Report by Dr. Lalitya Vir Srivastava, Director, AEG. Each distinguished dignitary then shared their reflections, life journeys, and words of inspiration, urging the graduating class to move steadfastly towards their life's vision. This was followed by the solemn Oath-Taking Ceremony, administered by Dr. Shweta Batra, Dean Examinations, AEG.
The 13th Convocation Ceremony marked another proud milestone as the institution conferred the Distinguished Faculty Award 2024 alongside the award of medals and diplomas to all graduating students. Bhoomika Bhatia, from the B.A.LL.B. programme (2018–2023), and Sangita, from the LL.B. programme (2020–2023), were honoured with Gold Medals in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements. Assistant Professor Ms. Swati Saxena was conferred 'The Distinguished Faculty Award 2024' in acknowledgement of her exceptional and lasting impact on the lives of students.
The ceremony was further enriched by the inspiring addresses of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President, Asian Education Group, and the other distinguished dignitaries present on the dais. The event also witnessed a momentous occasion with the release of a special volume titled 'Accomplishments', authored by Dr. Sandeep Marwah. The undisputed highlight of the ceremony was the address by Chief Guest Hon'ble Shri Ram Nath Kovind, whose words captivated the audience and transported them to a vision of a strong, resurgent India, leaving an indelible impression on all who were present. The ceremony concluded with a gracious vote of thanks extended by Dr. Gurdeep Singh Raina, Director, Asian Education Group, who warmly appreciated the time and presence of every attendee. The event drew to a close amidst a memorable photoshoot of the smiling graduands — tears of joy in their eyes and cherished memories of Asian Law College in their hearts.
