Moot Court Committee

The Moot Court Committee at Asian Law College is a student-run body functioning under the guidance of faculty members. Through their involvement, student members develop essential skills in people management, teamwork, network building, and drafting all of which prepare them for the realities of professional legal practice. Asian Law College fosters a vibrant mooting culture and provides ample opportunities to its students through various inter-college and intra-college Moot Court Competitions, enabling them to develop the professional competencies required for a successful legal career.

Moot Courts are organized within Asian Law College on a regular basis, with the objective of training students in court craft, court mannerisms, court presentation, and the soft skills essential to effective courtroom practice. These competitions are adjudicated by eminent legal luminaries, including practicing Advocates, Professors, Retired Judges, and Corporate Legal Advisors, whose rich practical experience provides participants with invaluable and lasting guidance.

Moot Court proceedings also serve as a significant learning experience for the audience, broadening their awareness of the various distinct facets of law and expanding their intellectual horizons. The Moot Court is, therefore, designed to equip students with all the skills necessary to become successful legal professionals.
