The Eco Club at Asian Law College (ALC) in collaboration with Business Community Foundation on 10th March 2026, organized an engaging edition of the Asian Lecture Series, featuring an Interactive Session and Movie Screening with Shri Mike Pandey, an internationally acclaimed Indian filmmaker, environmentalist, and wildlife conservationist. Among his many prestigious recognitions are the 2024 Legacy Award at the Jackson Wild Media Awards, three Green Oscar Wildscreen Panda Awards for excellence in wildlife filmmaking, making him the only Asian to have received this honour, and multiple National Film Awards from the Government of India. Also gracing the occasion was Dr. Amita V. Joseph, Director of the Business Community Foundation, an accomplished professional with over three decades of experience across the corporate, development, and legal sectors.
Three of Shri Mike Pandey’s most impactful documentaries were screened during the event, namely Shores of Silence, Vanishing Giants, and Broken Wings, each addressing critical themes of marine conservation, endangered wildlife, and habitat destruction. Following the screenings, an engaging interactive session moderated by Ms. Harsha Sharma, Assistant Professor, allowed students to directly engage with the speaker. The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony and a Vote of Thanks.
The event brought together cinema, environmental awareness, and meaningful dialogue on wildlife conservation, providing students with a unique platform to engage with pressing ecological issues
