March 17th, 2026 etched itself as a landmark day in the history of Asian Law College, part of Asian Education Group, as the institution celebrated its 14th Convocation Ceremony at the iconic Bharat Mandapam. The air was charged with pride, emotion, and the quiet resolve of thousands who had gathered to witness the next generation of legal luminaries receive their hard-earned degrees.
The ceremony was graced by the eminent presence of Hon’ble Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Cabinet Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Government of India, who served as the Chief Guest for the event. His presence lent the occasion an extraordinary distinction, drawing an impressive gathering of over 3,000 attendees, among them 1,600+ graduating students, 1,000+ proud families, and 200+ dedicated faculty and staff members, all united in celebrating this proud milestone.
The distinguished dais was adorned by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President, Asian Education Group, alongside the three pillars of AEG’s academic leadership, Dr. Lalitya Vir Srivastava, Dr. Saurabh Sharma, and Dr. Gurdeep Singh Raina, Directors, Asian Education Group, joined by the Deans and Heads of Departments, whose unwavering vision and commitment continue to elevate the institution to greater heights.
The formal proceedings were inaugurated by Dr. Lalitya Vir Srivastava, Director- Asian Education Group, who ceremonially opened the convocation with grace and distinction. Dr. Saurabh Sharma, Director- Asian Education Group, set the tone for the event by offering a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, celebrating Shri Nitin Gadkari’s transformative legacy as the architect of modern India’s highway infrastructure and his unparalleled contribution to the nation’s development. Dr. Gurdeep Singh Raina, Director- Asian Education Group, in his address, equipped the graduating class with a powerful framework of four guiding principles to carry through their professional journey. Dr. Lalitya Vir Srivastava, Director- Asian Education Group then followed with his address presenting the Academic Report, reflecting the college’s relentless pursuit of excellence.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President, Asian Education Group and the founding force behind the institution, delivered a compelling address emphasising the significance of the convocation as a defining moment in every graduate’s life, inspiring the gathering with his characteristic vision and wisdom.
The Chief Guest, Hon’ble Shri Nitin Gadkari, then took to the podium and captivated the audience with his remarkable personal journey, from early setbacks to becoming the driving force behind the transformation of India’s road and highway network. With characteristic candour and conviction, he spoke of resilience, purpose, and the spirit of nation-building, leaving the graduating class deeply inspired and motivated.
In a deeply moving moment, the Oath-Taking Ceremony was administered by Dr. Shweta Batra, Dean Examinations, Asian Education Group, a solemn pledge that marked the graduates’ formal transition from students of the law to its guardians and practitioners.
The conferral of degrees upon students from the B.A.LL.B. batches of 2020 and 2021, and the LL.B. batches of 2021 and 2022, was met with thunderous applause as each name was called, a culmination of years of perseverance, sacrifice, and scholarly dedication. The following Batch Toppers were honoured for their exceptional academic distinction, Arvind Kumar, B.A.LL.B. 2019–24 Batch; Anchal Gupta, B.A.LL.B. 2020–25 Batch; Pooja Agarwal, LL.B. 2021–24 Batch; and Shuchita Raj, LL.B. 2022–25 Batch, each a shining example of the calibre of talent nurtured within the walls of Asian Law College.
The ceremony also bore witness to a cherished institutional tradition, the conferral of the Distinguished Faculty Award 2026, this year bestowed upon Dr. Nityash Solanki, Assistant Professor, Asian Law College, in recognition of his profound and lasting impact on the lives of students, embodying the very spirit of inspired teaching and selfless mentorship.
