A master session on ‘Amendments in Arbitration Act’

Asian Law College in collaboration with the globally acknowledged international Law Firm, VIDHISHASTRAS- Advocates and Solicitors, New Delhi organised a master session on ‘Amendments in Arbitration Act’.

The College is also exhilarated to have Shri Ashish Deep Verma on board as an Hon’ble member of Asian Law College Board of Advisors (BOA). The Board of Advisors of Asian Law College consists of distinguished persons from myriad fields and reputed designations. Some of the prominent names include Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Sinha, Vice Chancellor Indian Law Institute, New Delhi; Prof. (Dr.) Paramjit S. Jaswal, Former Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi National Law University, Punjab; Justice Aditya Nath Mittal, Chairman Uttar Pradesh State Law Commission etc. The Session conducted by Shri Ashish Deep Verma was informative and enlightening. He introduced the session by acquainting the students with the existing Arbitration act and explaining the amendments that were added in the Arbitration and Reconciliation Act, 1996. He explained the background of the amendments by touching upon the famous case laws and concluded the session by making the students aware about the new challenges and the criticisms that have been put forward by renowned scholars.

Asian Law College has been known to substantiate classroom-based learning along with practical exposure and hand on experience to the students. The Internationally acknowledged firm VIDHISHASTRAS- Advocates and Solicitors will also be providing internship opportunities to the students.
